The Spirit of Tengri has everything it takes to become largest ethnic festival
Chairman of the Board of Kaspi Bank Vyacheslav Kim is confident that a bright future awaits the international ethnic music festival The Spirit of Tengri.
The largest festival in Central Asia is organized with support of Kaspi Bank. Kim noted that the festival and the bank shared certain similarities. “Our bank, too, is young and international. People form different ethnic backgrounds work in our bank; we have a lot of foreigners. Our bank, in the same way as The Spirit of Tengri, brings together a great number of nations without borders, united by the sole principle of cultural heritage and beautiful ethnic music. I am confident that the way Tengri FM organizes and will continue organizing this festival in Kazakhstan it will make it the largest ethnic music festival in the world. I am absolutely positive about it. I am so proud to be at the origins of the festival with these fellows and to be supporting the festival,” Kim said.
“If you look at our Kaspi bank logo, it takes its origins from petroglyphs, rock carvings. It is based on the petroglyphs that were found in Kazakhstan. We, as a Kazakhstani bank, are happy to have this festival, because we are talking about a traditional national music that despite modern changes helps us familiarize ourselves with our traditions once again,” the Chairman of the Executive Board Mikhail Lomatadze said.
The Spirit of Tengri has rightfully earned the name of the biggest Ethnoworld festival in Kazakhstan having gathered artists and musicians from all over the world to share their ethnic music and culture. Musicians are playing the instruments that in many ways show the historical link between seemingly distant nations and ethnicities.
The Spirit of Tengri 2015 opens on June 6 at 7 pm at the Abay square in front of the Republic Palace (crossing of Abay and Dostyk streets). The free open-air festival continues on the June 7th at the same time.
The festival is organized by the nation-wide radio TengriFM and supported by the general partner Kaspi Bank. The lights and sound will be provided by KZ Sound company.
