The legendary musician from Bashkortostan Robert Yuldashev closed the anniversary The Spirit of Tengri
The second day of the fifth anniversary festival of contemporary ethnic music The Spirit of Tengri was closed by the band of Robert Yuldashev - "Kuraisy" from Bashkortostan, Tengrinews.kz reports.
The band from Bashkortostan presented to Kazakhstan an unusual and very harmonious musical cocktail full of tremendous vibe. The oldest Bashkir musical instrument “Kurai” made from cane growing in the South Urals makes the sound of "Kuraisy" very special.
In addition to ethnic melodies, "Kuraisy" made the audiences’ day playing outstanding covers for famous songs. Having mastered this instrument, Robert Yuldashev is known as a musician who opens the Kurai to the world. He has got interesting projects on his account, including cooperation with Nikolai Noskov, Garik Sukachev, Pelageya, as well as performances with Vladimir Spivakov’s "Moscow Virtuosi" orchestra. The musician put his hand to creating soundtracks for the drama "House of the Sun" by Garik Sukachev and, together with the Bolshoi Theater Symphony Orchestra, recorded music for the film "The Way". "This is a wonderful festival, we are here for the first time and we have really enjoyed it. The Spirit of Tengri festival has a strong feature, a zest. No-one in the world can choose their parents and their native language – this is a gift from the Almighty! Such festivals help people who carry these traditions. Through these ancient instruments there is a connection with the ancestors. Therefore, it is a great celebration of friendship and kindness. You have a wonderful audience, who are prepared and know what ethno music is,"- Robert Yuldashev shared his impressions after the performance. The musician noted that he was ready for new experience and cooperation with Kazakhstani musicians. "We wanted to have a joint record with Batyrkhan Shukenov, I wish we had done it sooner." His memory is bright, but as a whole we are open to work with your musicians with pleasure," - Yuldashev added.
According to Rafael, a guest, who came from Russia specially to listen to contemporary ethnic music, thanks to The Spirit of Tengri Almaty has become the center of the world nations. "It's the second day already at the festival, and it turned out very cool. The incredible atmosphere, here a different culture is shown to different peoples - it's particularly right nowadays, when people have been going away from their roots. I heard a lot about the Spirit of Tengri from my friends in Almaty, and so the stars have been aligned that I could make it at the anniversary festival," - the Russian visitor shared his impressions.
