As long as the soul sings, it is all that matters, - Inna Zhelannaya struck the audience of The Spirit of Astana
Folk-rock singer Inna Zhelannaya performed at the festival of contemporary ethnic music The Spirit of Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports. The largest music event is taking place in the open-air format in the square in front of the Baiterek monument, the entrance is free. The project was established by the national radio station Tengri FM with the support of the Astana Akimat.
Inna Zhelannaya is the founder of Farlanders, the legendary band (she played in it from 1994 to 2004), and the soloist of the band "Alliance" in 1990-1992. Music critics note that her work does not fit into the usual genre definitions - it's an unusual mixture of progressive rock, jazz, trance, psychedelics, electronics, and at the heart of everything the tradition of Russian singing lies.
Unusual psychedelic music of the singer in combination with melodic high voice plunged the audience into a kind of trance.
The sound of saxophone fits perfectly into this style, which has plunged the audience into a special atmosphere. Together with Inna Zhelannaya, a well-known master of throat singing Radik Tyulush also performed. The duet of two masters of vocal won the audience with its unusual drive.
Undoubtedly, the festival audience enjoyed the famous Bashkir band "Argymak". The accent in the performance of the musicians was made on the national instruments: kurai, dombra, kobyz.
All this was so extraordinary, but very driving in combination with ethnic drums and modern instruments: electronic drums, guitars and keyboard.
A special place in the band’s perfromance was taken by the kurai - this is a traditional Bashkir wind instrument, the skillful play on which was demonstrated by the leader of the band Rinat Ramazanov.
The audience welcomed the artists very warmly, and the Bashkir reggae charged the residents of Astana with the energy of the sun.
The culmination of the band's performance was undoubtedly the "Kara Zhorga" known to Kazakhstan people, but performed the Bashkir style. Then the audience could not stand still and started dancing.
Aigerim Ospanova shared her impressions of the festival. According to her, The Spirit of Astana is a real gift to the capital's audience. "I really like ethnic music and I'm very happy that The Spirit has finally came to Astana, I'm insanely happy! It's a great direction in music, but I do not always get to come to Almaty, so I missed the last The Spirit of Tengri. And then bang!- such a surprise, The Spirit has come to Astana! " - the girl said.
The international project The Spirit of Tengri, born on Kazakhstan land and already having the status of a national cultural brand, was first presented in the Capital.
The stage is arranged in such a way that the concert will be seen from any point of the square. At the same there will be large LED screens installed on the sides of the stage, so that the audience could not miss a single element of the upcoming show.
