Russian version

The special performance of the Steppe-Scape project closed the first day of the festival of contemporary ethnic music The Spirit of Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports. The largest music event is taking place in the square in front of the Baiterek monument with the support of the Astana Akimat.

Steppe-Scape is a project that synthesizes ancient songs of Siberian peoples with futuristic electronics and fatal ambience. Steppe-Scape is a unique creative collaboration of the most interesting and well-known in the West vocalists - Namgar (Namgar Project, Buryatia), Radik Tyulush (Huun Huur Tu, Tuva) and Angela Manukyan (Volga, Moscow) - with one of the most Talented modern European musicians, German composer, guitarist and electronics designer Marcus Royter (Crimson ProjeKCt, Stick Men, Namgar Project).

The songs of the band first calmed the audience with the sound of wind and string instruments, but then they won the audience by a wave of energetic music in a cocktail with Radik Tulush's inimitable vocals. A special emphasis on the performance was given, undoubtedly, by playing the wind instruments, these notes immersed the audience in a kind of trance, and the drums and vocals were immediately taken out of it and, along with the well-placed light-music, were fascinating.

Namgar performed at the festival and also had a solo concert. Namgar Project performed traditional music and songs of Buryats and Mongols, as well as their own interpretation of the folklore of the Mongolian peoples. In the repertoire of the band there are Buryat dance songs, ring song-games, Buryat lingering songs and more.
