A Week left to Nomad Way 2018. Who to open the Festival
The names of six more bands have been announced to be performing at the Nomad Way International Music Festival in Astana on June 22-24. Residents and guests of the capital are looking to meeting with the culture of the peoples of Central Asia - Aldaspan (Kazakhstan), Khoomei beat (Tuva), Abbos (Uzbekistan), Avesto (Tajikistan), and Buryat groups - Shono and Namgar, Tengrinews.kz reports. The international festival of nomadic culture Nomad Way is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a part of 20th anniversary celebration of the country's capital - Astana.
The first day of the Festival of Nomadic Culture Nomad Way 2018 will be opened by the Kazakh ethno-rock band "Aldaspan". It is a unique music band who play the electro-dombra. This is an amazing unique instrument, the sound of which was heard for the first time only in 2011, combines the audacity of the West and the freedom-loving of the East.
The project was founded by the drummer Nurzhan Toishy in 2013. The members of the band Aldaspan are the best dombra players in the music academy: Maksat Khasanov - electro solo-dombra, Isarbek Akiyashev - electro-rhythm-dombra, Shamshiddin Omarov - electro bass dombra. The group takes part in The Spirit of Tengri Festival every year.
"Hello, this is Aldaspan band, we welcome you and look forward to the International Festival in Astana on the Esil embankment in the amphitheater." The entrance is free. "We are looking forward for you to come!" - the founder of the band Nurzhan Toishy said.
The Uzbek music culture will be represented by Abbos band. The group became famous owing to its founder - famous far beyond Uzbekistan's player the doira and other national instruments Abbos Kassimov. He founded the project in 1998, since then the band has traveled with concerts all over the globe. The band members also skillfully play the karnai, surnai, rubab and tanbur.
Now Abbos is led by Abbos Kasimov's student - Ravshan Yunusov. Together with the new leader the active tours of the band continued: they took part in festivals in Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Bulgaria, Romania, England, France, USA and other countries. Thanks to Ravshan Yunusov, the band has acquired a new sparkle that the audience of the Nomad Way Festival is going to hear very soon.

Tajik band Avesto is one of the leading ethno-jazz bands of the country. For 17 years the band has released six albums. At the Nomad Way Festival, the artists will please the audience with fiery Tajik melodies in modern electric arrangement. Avesto music combines traditional styles, modern swing, jazz-rock, modal jazz, bebop and free jazz.
One of the favorite mixes of musicians is a cocktail of modern jazz music and oriental ethnic musical culture. Cherry of this treat is the beautiful, unique voice of the soloist Tahmina Ramazanova. Avesto is not afraid of bold experiments and is very fond of improvising. They often use Indian, Arab, African, Latin American rhythms, harmony and frets.

The Khoomei Beat team is a group of young musicians, representatives of a new generation of Tuvan music scene. For their first time at the Festival of Nomadic Culture Nomad Way they are going bring an elegant mix of expressive rock with easy carelessness of pop music. The style of the band can be defined as ethno-pop rock with fusion elements. Also Khoomei Beat actively develop Tuvan throat singing in accordance with world trends.
In 2017 at the international festival "Khoomei in the center of Asia" (Tyva), KHOOMEI BEAT became a real discovery. The musicians became winners in the nomination "Khoomei in modern interpretation", where they critically acclaimed by the jury members, world-famous musicians such as Grammy-winner Jeff Coffin, Felix Pastorius, Igor Koshkendey (Chirgilchin), Koichi Makigami (Japan) and many others.

The next two band represent Buryatia.
The Shono band will rise to the stage of the musical Festival of Nomadic Culture Nomad Way for the second time. The name of the fiery band means "wolf" in Buryat. This very animal is a totem of one of the Buryat clans. The founder of the group Alexander Arkhincheyev sings using both the usual vocal technique and throat singing. In addition, he plays the ethnic instruments such as string moriin-huur, sukha-huur and wind limbe.
Folk songs and original music performed by Alexander Arkhincheyev, are accompanied by variety of instruments. The combination of rock riffs and Buryat melodies and rhythms convey an unforgettable impression to the audience.

The other band from Buryatia is Namgar. It was named after the singer - Namgar Lhasaranova who sings and plays on the beautiful Buryat instrument - yataga. The band has existed since 2001 and performs traditional music of the Buryats and Mongols as well as its own interpretations of the folklore of the Mongolian peoples.

The venue of the Nomad Way 2018 is the amphitheater on the Esil River embankment. This year, Astana residents and guests of the capital should expect three unforgettable concert days (June 22-24). The festival will feature 19 unique bands from 20 countries representing the musical culture of the Turkic and fraternal peoples. The beginning of the concerts is at 17:00. Free admission
Among the participants of this year there are performers in the genre ethno-world from Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Hungary, Turkey, Estonia and the USA. Earlier it became known that at the Nomad Way 2018 festival the Tuvan group Huun Huur Tu will perform together with the American DJ Carmen Rizzo, the Svjata Vatra band (Ukraine, Estonia), performer Islam Satyrov (Stavropol Territory, Russia), Tilla Török Band Hungary), the performer of throat singing Chyltys Tannagasheva (Gornaya Shoriya), as well as the Bashkir bands "Argymak" and Zaman.
The Spirit of Tengri is a multicultural and one of the world's largest projects in the genre of contemporary ethnic music, with a status of a national cultural brand. Its purpose is to introduce the heritage of the peoples of the Great Steppe and the whole world, uniting the most iconic representatives of contemporary ethnic musical art on the Kazakhstani land. The project was established by the National Kazakhstan Radio Tengri FM in 2012. Musicians from 70 countries and regions of the world have been on its stage. Over these years, more than 100 thousand Kazakhstanis and guests of the country have been its visitors. The Spirit of Tengri festivals are bright colorful music shows accompanied by informational art materials and video content. Thus, they are not only entertaining but also educational.
