A rich musical palette, shimmering with the sounds of ocarins, the viscousness of flutes, the rhythms of the harp, the voice of nature, the sound of traditions, reinforced by the pressure of modernity - these are all epithets for the creation of the Altai band.

Yakut group "Ayarkhaan" will perform at the Festival together with Kazakhstani DJ Nariman Issenov on the third day - Sunday, June 24.
Ayarkhaan's music goes beyond the boundaries of well-known genres and categories. Best of all, it can be described as a mystical act. Using only their own voices and khomus, Yakut girls imitate the sounds of nature. Some songs sound as if they were created in an electronic music studio.
The band was created in 2002 by musician and teacher Albina Degtyareva, who brought up over the years of creativity more than one generation of the best Yakut khomusists. Her signature style of playing the khomus (the istrument of shamans), 15 years ago considered as avant-garde, has already become a classic of the Yakut khomus. Today it is impossible to imagine the sound of this instrument without techniques invented by Albina Degtyareva.
According to the definition of the famous music critic Artemy Troitsky, Ayarkhaan is a phenomenal Yakut female trio performing an animalistic "zuromorphic" trans-punk on khomus. The sounding of "Ayarkhaan" is also described as: "Hurricane of sounds produced by Yakut khomuses, replaces a cello, saxophone, electric guitar and at least a third of a symphony orchestra - what a level of skill!" The band has traveled around many countries, became the laureate and headliner of major international competitions and festivals of ethnic and live music: Australia, England, USA, New Zealand, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal, Japan, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Denmark, Holland, Norway . The trio has performed at such prestigious world venues as Royal Albert Hall, Copenhagen concert hall, and in the program of events such as BBC Proms, WOMEX, WOMAD.
